There was a time when this country needed a lot of new immigrants. That time is long gone. Today the focus is on making sure that America remains fit, and its citizens stay strong. Only then can it continue to be a force for good to the rest of the world. A smaller population, sustained by selective immigration, is the path forward for the United States.
